Outward Opening for the Optimum CC Line

It is now possible to order outward-opening doors in the Optimum CarbonCore line – a solution that offers greater flexibility in architectural planning and opens new installation possibilities. Outward-opening execution is available for single-leaf doors opening to the left or right according to DIN standards. The standard equipment includes 3D hinges in the door color. Concealed hinges are available at an additional cost.

Electronic Opener for One-Time Opening with Day/Night Function on Mechanical Locks

A new solution is available for mechanical locks that allows electronic one-time opening and manual mechanical switching between day and night operation modes.

The electronic cylinder enables one-time electronic unlocking of the latch, while maintaining the basic mechanical security with hooks and cylinder lock. It is designed for use with mechanical locks and is an ideal solution for users who want added convenience without switching entirely to an electronic locking system.

Main Features:

• One-time opening (impulse activation)
  When the opening button is pressed, the latch is released for one cycle – until the door is opened and closed again. When the door closes, the latch re-engages. The function works only when the lock is manually unlocked with a key.
• Day/Night function (toggle mode)
  By moving the lever on the central part of the strike plate, the user can switch between two operating modes.

Day mode

Free passage is allowed when the door is not locked with a key. The latch remains disengaged and allows passage without electric release – ideal during working hours or frequent use.

Night mode

When the door is not locked with a key, access is possible only after an electronic signal (e.g., intercom button). The latch stays disengaged until the first passage.

User Benefits:

• Maintains traditional mechanical operation with added electronic convenience
• Simple integration into existing systems – intercom or smart home
• No need for continuous electrical power to the lock
• Suitable for residential and commercial properties

Functionality is available in the Atrium, Optimum, and Premium CarbonCore lines, in combination with ARMO or ARMO MAX mechanical locks.

Smart and Secure – New Fully Motorized Armo Comfort Electro Plus Lock

The Armo Comfort Electro Plus lock offers a fully motorized solution for secure, comfortable, and modern use of entrance doors. It operates without manual locking and allows controlled access with advanced safety features.

How it works:

• Automatic locking
  When the door closes, the lock automatically activates the hooks and cylinder – securing the door without using a key.
• Automatic unlocking
  To unlock from the outside, the user simply uses a fingerprint reader. No key is needed.

User Benefits:

• Enhanced security provided by two solid locking hooks and a central main bolt with a high-quality cylinder.
• Quiet and efficient operation enabled by a powerful 24V motor.
• Improved sealing due to increased pressure of the door leaf.

Day mode:

The door remains unlocked, with hooks and cylinder deactivated. Free passage from outside is possible without authentication – ideal for periods of frequent use.

Night mode

The door is locked with hooks and cylinder. Authentication is required for access (e.g., fingerprint). The system provides enhanced security when it’s most needed.

In the first phase, switching between day/night mode will only be possible manually – via a button on the door leaf and lever on the receiver. Time-based scheduling of this function will not yet be available.

Full functionality via the Pirnar App will be available subsequently.
However, doors produced before the launch of the full functionality cannot be retrofitted.

Smart Features for More Security and Control

• Door status (open/closed) can be checked anytime via the Pirnar App
• Compatible with major access control systems and Pirnar's SecuroSmart app (including fingerprint readers)

Functionality is available for single-leaf doors in the Optimum, Premium, and Ultimum CarbonCore lines.

Limitations:

• Maximum element height: 3000 mm; Minimum: 2025 mm
• Escape/anti-panic lock not available
