Warranty

At Pirnar, we understand that a good warranty offers long-term satisfaction. By providing high quality entrance doors, we want to build confidence in the reliability and longevity of our products.

Preconditions for making warranty claims:

  • The warranty claim is exercised within the warranty period.
  • Visual defects or damage must have been reported upon receipt of the product and should not be a result of damage caused by improper handling of the product after its receipt (during storage, installation, etc.).
  • Doors must have been stored in a dry location and protected from direct weather exposure (rain, snow, sun).
  • Installation and related services were carried out by an individual certified by the seller.
  • Doors have been used in accordance with the recommendations and warnings of the seller, as stated in the User Instructions.
  • Products have been maintained in a regular and timely manner in accordance with the user instructions.
  • General limitations and examples when the door warranty is not valid:

    • in cases where doors were installed in premises despite previously identified and visible defects, and without the seller’s consent for the installation of the products,
    • in cases where doors were installed in premises with freshly treated walls and adequate ventilation was not ensured during the construction phase,
    • in cases where the customer requests the manufacture of doors based on a design not recommended by the seller and not in compliance with the technical standards or the manufacturer’s regulations specified in the product catalogue,
    • in cases where the customer, either directly or through third parties, alters the design of the provided doors, including replacing individual components, without the written consent of the manufacturer,
    • in cases of abusive use (such as impacts, abrasions, or improper cleaning), mechanical damage, overloading of the doors, or alterations in the appearance of the door surface resulting from chemical exposure, prolonged extreme weather conditions, pollution, or force majeure events such as natural disasters, explosions, fires, or storms,
    • in cases of additional or repeat orders, differences in colour are not subject to a warranty claim,
    • in cases where there are minor imperfections in dimensions, construction, and painted surfaces that are not visible from a distance of 5 m (outer door surface) or 3 m (inner door surface) under normal daylight conditions,
    • in cases where the product subject to the warranty has not been fully paid for.

An integral part of the warranty is the User Instructions, which are included with the product upon delivery.

WARRANTY TERMS

Aluminium entrance doors (CarbonCore)  

10 Years Warranty

10 years

  • on door functionality,
  • on the durability of the powder-coated aluminium surface of the doors, including resistance to cracking, peeling, and excessive fading of the coating under normal environmental conditions. i
i. A 5-year warranty applies to the durability of the selected decor.
  • The warranty on door functionality does not apply in the following cases:

    • for doors higher than 3000 mm and/or wider than 1300 mm,
    • if the door is installed flush with the building façade or less than 15 cm into the reveal, and is not protected by an overhang,
    • for built-in components subject to a shorter warranty period.
  • The warranty on the durability of the powder-coated surface does not apply in the following cases:

    • for doors installed less than 5 km from the coastline or in areas with unfavourable or harsh and corrosive environments (e.g., industrial zones, etc.),
    • for temporary surface phenomena, such as dirt or water stains,
    • in the case of a colour selected by the customer that is not recommended by the manufacturer,
    • for colour deviations within acceptable limits compared to the reference surface (Δ E < 7).

5 years

  • for the airtightness of thermal insulating glass,
  • the visual consistency of the glass with the EN 1279:2018 standard.
  • The warranty on the airtightness of thermal insulating glass does not apply in the following cases:

    • for glass where the requirements for the installation of pressure regulation valves have not been specified, and the doors have been installed at locations either 100 m below or 600 m above sea level,
    • for glass breakage after door installation due to impact, pressure, point loading, local overheating, partial shading, or restricted ventilation,
    • in the event of condensation on the surface of the glass, caused by increased humidity in the room and insufficient ventilation.
  • The warranty on the visual quality of the glass does not apply in the following cases:

    • for deviations in accordance with the EN 1279:2018 standard,
    • for interference patterns on the glass,
    • for minor deviations in the pattern conformity of the glass (< 2 mm).

2 years

  • for issues pertaining to the performance of the door's built-in hardware (lock, cylinder, handle, self-closing mechanism, handles),
  • for the performance of electronic components.
  • The warranty does not apply to:

    • the performance of electronic components, if the instructions for electrical connection were not followed or the connection was not carried out in accordance with the installation instructions,
    • built-in hardware in cases of wear or breakage caused by physical damage.
WARRANTY TERMS

Aluminium-wood and wooden entrance doors 

5 years

  • on door functionality,
  • on the durability of the powder-coated aluminium surface of the doors, including resistance to cracking, peeling, and excessive fading of the coating under normal environmental conditions. i
  • on the airtightness of thermal insulating glass,
  • on the visual consistency of the glass with the EN 1279:2018 standard.
i. A 5-year warranty applies to the durability of the selected decor.
  • The warranty on functionality does not apply in the following cases:

    • for doors higher than 2400 mm and/or wider than 1240 mm,
    • if the door is installed flush with the building façade or less than 15 cm into the reveal, and is not protected by an overhang,
    • for built-in components subject to a shorter warranty period.
  • The warranty on the durability of the powder-coated surface does not apply in the following cases:

    • for doors installed less than 5 km from the coastline or in areas with unfavourable or harsh and corrosive environments (e.g., industrial zones, etc.),
    • for temporary surface phenomena, such as dirt or water stains,
    • in the case of a colour selected by the customer that is not recommended by the manufacturer,
    • for colour deviations within acceptable limits compared to the reference surface (Δ E < 7),
    • for colour deviations of wooden doors from the colour chart or between individual parts of the door, caused by different coating batches, the door's natural wood structure, and varying absorption capacities of the coatings during surface treatment,
    • for oiled wooden surfaces or defects in the wood that are deemed acceptable according to the wood quality standard for building furniture,
    • if the customer requests a surface treatment for wooden doors with transparent coatings that are not UV-resistant.
  • The warranty on the airtightness of thermal insulating glass does not apply in the following cases:

    • for glass where the requirements for the installation of pressure regulation valves have not been specified, and the doors have been installed at locations either 100 m below or 600 m above sea level,
    • for glass breakage after door installation due to impact, pressure, point loading, local overheating, partial shading, or restricted ventilation,
    • in the event of condensation on the surface of the glass, caused by increased humidity in the room and insufficient ventilation.
  • The warranty on the visual quality of the glass does not apply in the following cases:

2 years

The warranty claim is valid only in the country where the PIRNAR entrance doors were purchased. The product must be purchased through the distribution channels we have specified. A warranty claim exists only for damage to a product covered by this contract. Proof of purchase serves as grounds for the warranty claim including the date and signature of the seller.

The published warranty conditions take effect on 28 April 2025 and apply to entrance doors manufactured from 1 January 2025 onwards.
